Tennessee Valley Alumnae Association won Excellence Award and other additional awards at the 2005 ADPi International Convention in AZ (June 22-26, 2005), and Zeta Eta won the TME Achievement Awards.

Congratulations to the alumnae who attended Jewel Degree on Saturday May 7^th, 2005.

Membership in Alpha Delta Pi is for a lifetime. Without the help of alumni association members across the globe, ADPi wouldn't be the "First. Finest. Forever." As it says in our creed, Alpha Delta Pi is a way of life. It's not too late to get involved in your local alumni group.

TVAA is looking for all Alpha Delta Pi alumnae. Don't think because you initiated into a chapter other than Zeta Eta, or any other excuse you can come up with, that you shouldn't be involved. We need your help and ideas!!

Here's what we do:

--support Zeta Eta chapter at the University of North Alabama

--Fall Recruitment

--philanthropy

--workshops/educationals for chapter meetings

--philanthropy work within the Quad Cities communities

--support the Ronald McDonald House Charities (Birmingham, AL)

--fun and fellowship with the sisters!

--Homecoming events at UNA

--Alumnae Christmas Tea w/ philanthropy project

Here's what you can do:

--give money to help decorate the Zeta Eta sisters' chapter room. There are still some things that are needed.

--offer to teach and educational or workshop for the chapter

--save those pop tabs for the RMHC!!

--volunteer your time for chapter workdays

--write recs for potential new members

--and so much more!

Alumni Tent Parties – 4 pm every home game the alumni tent will be located in the South end zone of Bradly Stadium. We will serve meals picnic style under the purple and white spirit tent to alumni and friends at a reasonable price. We invite groups or individual LION supporters to participate. Contact the Office of Alumni Relations for specifics.

Potential Member Profile: You can obtain the Potential Member Profile from the Pride Online section of the web site. You’ll be asked to log in. Make sure when you complete the profile, you include ways to make this potential member "stand out" and if possible, include a picture. You may want to copy and paste the Potential Member Profile into a Word document and then complete it. You can check on the appropriate university website to verify recruitment dates so you can mail it to the chapter before recruitment begins. Legacy Introduction Form: This form is to be used by collegiate and alumnae members to introduce legacies to collegiate chapters. Just as with the Potential Member Profile, you will be asked to login from Pride Online. When you compete this form, include information about the Legacy and a picture if possible. To make sure the form arrives in time for Recruitment, check the university website to verify recruitment dates.

ZH Chapter Room Decorations:

The sororities at the University of North Alabama have moved into new chapter rooms / dorms in the fall of 2004. Alumnae are asked to help & continue helping by donating money for furniture expenses. Donation checks should be made out to Alpha Delta Pi for the "Zeta Eta Decorating Fund" and mailed to Executive Office, 1386 Ponce de Leon Avenue, N.E., Atlanta, Georgia 30306.

TVAA Announcements:

Rona (O'Steen) & Ed Swindell had thier first child, a little boy named Lee, in March 2005.

Amy (Rogers) & Aaron Smith are expecting their first little girl Ashlyn Emmaline on August 30th. She is registered at Babies R Us and Target this coming weekend.

Amy (Rose) & Tommy Stricklin are expecting their first little boy Joseph Thomas on September 8th. She is registered at Babies R Us, Target, and Walmart.

Ashley (Mansell) and Jeff Olson had their second child on July 9, 2005. They named her Madelynn Reese. She is registered at Target.

Karen (Keeton) and Gwyn Letson had their second child, Braxton

Karen (Keeton) Letson, on June 15th at about 12:22 pm. He weighed 7 lbs... 20 inches long. Karen, Gwyn, Carson, and Braxton are all doing fine.
