Tennessee Valley (North Alabama) Alumnae Association

Grand Council met on June 22-25, 2008, at

Leadership Seminar, held at the Atlanta Renaissance

Concourse Hotel in Atlanta, Georgia.

They also met for a face-to-face meeting on

September 11-14, 2008 at Executive Office in

Atlanta, Georgia and by telephone conference

calls throughout the summer. The following is

a list of some of the activities and actions of

the Grand Council of Alpha Delta Pi during

their meetings:

The following appointment has been made:

Kim Lorence, Alpha Beta, Expansion Director

Accepted and/or approved the following:

Six chapters were removed from probation

and four chapters were placed on probation.

Academic Enhancement Director was

added to the Total Membership Education

Team.

Chapter and Alumnae Association Web

Site Award established as recommended

by the Publications Committee.

Increased ADPi mileage reimbursement

rate to $0.50.

The Executive Office billing program will

no longer be offered after the end of this

fiscal year. Omega Financial is participating

in a pilot program this year and will be

the billing option for 2009-2010.

The following alumnae associations were

chartered:

Nicole Taglianetti Chambers, Eta Omicron, Alumnae

Collegiate Relations Director III, is pleased to

announce the arrival of Hudson Clark Chambers on

May 21. Hudson weighed 6 lbs., 4 oz. and was 18

1/2 inches long.

Elisse Freeman, Alpha Zeta, former International

Vice President of Collegiate Membership and former

NPC Delegate, is the proud grandmother of Lily Ann

Freeman, born July 4. Lily weighed 7 lbs., 6 oz.,

and was 19 3/4 inches long.

Helen Glenn, Beta Sigma, former Executive Director,

former Grand Secretary-Treasurer, and former

NPC Delegate, celebrated her 90th birthday in August.

Kandi Hammond, Database Coordinator, was married

to Erric Smith on August 1, 2008.

Beth Mannle, Beta Beta, former Grand President,

former NPC Delegate, and current History

Chair, is the proud grandmother of Meredith

Jane Mannle, born May 1. Meredith

weighed 6 lbs., 15 oz., and was 19 1/4 inches

long.

Mary Knapper Marlowe, Beta Beta, former

Traveling Chapter Consultant, is pleased to

announce the arrival of Mason Phillip Marlowe,

born July 21. Mason weighed 7 lbs., 4

oz., and was 19 3/4 inches long.

Demetra “Dee” McGee, Executive Administrative

Assistant, was married to Dexter Doughty

on June 7, 2008.

Executive Office Changes

Welcome to the new Executive Office staff members:

Cristin Kennedy Lees, Zeta Tau, is the new

Meeting Planner.

Nealy Wheat is the new Foundation Director

of Operation.

The following staff members have left Executive

Office:

Becky Bonneau resigned from the position of

Chapter Accountant, District II.

Donna Gould resigned from the position of

Technology Coordinator.
