President's Letter - October
Thursday, October 6, 2005 2:18 PM
Hello Ladies,
This month is going great so far, the chapter is doing a great job recruiting and getting our name
out there. Last month, we Participated in Greek Week and got 2nd place in the chariot races, and our sister Yuka won the Greek
Goddess Competition. This week, we are very excited to have a Leadership Consultant with us, Sarah Komaroff, and I look
forward to all the great ideas and tips she will bring to us. We are having several CR events this week, we had one on Sunday
at Cracker Barrel and had one PNM attend, last night we went to Bruster's ice cream and had 5 PNM's attend, and tonight we
will be going to Casa Mexiana to eat and hopefully we will have several more women plus the ones that have come previously
attend. We are well underway preparing for Homecoming, Step Show practice, building the float, and getting our booth ready
for the homecoming carnival. We will be having a booth set up so that people can "Pie a Pi"and several of our sister's have
volunteered to get pied in the face! Also, We will be having our first date party on October 20th. It is going to be a Halloween
Costume party at the Haunted Plantation in Central. Everyone is very excited about it, expecially our alphas, because they
got to help plan it. Over all the chapter has great spirits, and is always recruiting, trying to get more sisters to share
the love of ADPi with.

Philanthropy Project
This year instead of have a gift swap Alpha
Delta Pi decided to adopt a SafePlace family for Christmas.
All the Sisters really did a wonderful
job!!!! I believe from my guessing we collect about $1,000 of gifts. We had a good equal amount of gifts for the
mother and two children. Even though it looked like we had a ton of playdoe I'm glad to be able to tell you that several
of them were playdoe playsets and not playdoe itself. A BIG thanks needs to go out to everyone that helped.

Zeta
Eta 30th Anniversary
Florence, AL; North Alabama (Tennessee
Valley) Alumnae Association was instrumental in organizing a 30th Anniversary (Feb.17, 1973)
celebration for the Zeta Eta chapter at the University of North Alabama. Zeta Eta was the first sorority on this campus so our anniversary was
monumental not only to our chapter, but all over campus and in the community. The anniversary event was held March 1, 2003
with an open house of the Alpha Delta Pi chapter room, Jewel Degree, and continued into the evening with a semi-formal / banquet
including a slide show, awards, dancing & old friends meeting the Chapter's new sisters. All guests that attended brought
canned items & cleaning products for donation to the Ronald McDonald House.
